Ingredients

  • 1 (14 ounce) package seasoned dry stuffing mix
  • 1 teaspoon ground sage
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of celery soup
  • 1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
  • Water, as needed (optional)
  • 2 boneless, skinless turkey breasts, cooked and shredded
  • ¼ cup melted butter

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine stuffing mix, sage, celery, and chicken broth. Mix until evenly moistened and set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl, stir the condensed cream of celery soup with ½ can water until smooth. Repeat with the cream of chicken soup in another bowl.
  4. Layer 1/3 of the stuffing mix in the prepared baking dish, followed by half the shredded turkey. Pour the celery soup mixture over the turkey, spreading evenly.
  5. Top with another 1/3 of stuffing mix, remaining turkey, and the chicken soup mixture. Finish with the last 1/3 of stuffing on top.
  6. Drizzle melted butter over the entire casserole and press down gently with a spatula to compact the layers.
  7. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the top is golden and the casserole is bubbling.

Notes

Pro tip: Swap in cooked chicken if that's what you have on hand—it works just as well!
