Method
- Rub the chuck roast with 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce and sprinkle Montreal steak seasoning all over.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the roast for about 5 minutes on each side until browned.
- Place the seared roast in your slow cooker.
- Dissolve the bouillon cube in hot coffee. Pour this mixture over the roast.
- Pour the tomato sauce over the top, sprinkle with oregano, and drizzle with the remaining 2 teaspoons of Worcestershire sauce.
- Cover the slow cooker and cook on Low for 8-10 hours until the roast is tender and pull-apart perfection.
Notes
Tip: If you're in the market for a slow cooker, look for one with a timer feature, so it switches to “keep warm” automatically when cooking is done.
