Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 3 cups rotini pasta
  • 1 (28 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce
  • 1 (14 ounce) can chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese, or to taste

Method

  1. Heat a high-sided 12-inch skillet with a lid over medium heat.
  2. Add ground turkey, onion, and garlic to the skillet. Cook and stir until the turkey browns and the onion softens—about 8 minutes.
  3. Season with chopped oregano, garlic powder, and dried basil. Mix well.
  4. Add the rotini to the skillet, stirring it in until everything is combined.
  5. Pour in the spaghetti sauce and chicken broth, making sure the pasta is fully covered with liquid.
  6. Bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce the heat to low, cover the skillet, and cook for 7 to 10 minutes, or until the rotini is tender yet firm to the bite.
  7. Sprinkle with freshly grated Parmesan cheese before serving. Enjoy!
