Ingredients
Method
- Place chicken breasts at the bottom of your slow cooker.
- Pour the chicken broth over the top, then sprinkle on the salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Set your CrockPot to low heat and cook for 6-8 hours (or choose high heat for 3-4 hours).
- Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks. It should break apart effortlessly!
- Use the chicken right away for your favorite dishes, or let it cool, portion it into zip-top bags, and freeze for up to two months.
Notes
Pro tip: If you're shopping for a new slow cooker, look for one with a programmable timer feature. It'll automatically shift to a 'keep warm' setting once the cooking time is up—talk about stress-free cooking!
