Ingredients
Method
- Set a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the ground beef.
- Cook until browned, breaking it into small crumbles with a spoon.
- Drain excess fat and transfer the beef to your slow cooker.
- Add all remaining ingredients to the crockpot, including ketchup, tomato sauce, water, onion, and seasonings.
- Stir everything together until well combined.
- Cover and cook on high for 1.5–2 hours, or on low for 3 hours. Stir occasionally to avoid sticking.
- If the chili becomes too thick, stir in a splash of water, beef broth, or extra ketchup.
- Serve over freshly grilled hot dogs and enjoy!
Notes
Pro tip: Pre-minced onion or frozen diced onion can save even more prep time!
