- In the bottom of your 6-quart slow cooker, stir together cream of chicken soup, French onion soup, au jus gravy mix, and 1/2 cup water.
- Add the cubed steaks to the mixture, ensuring they are well-coated in the gravy base.
- Cover the slow cooker and cook on low heat for 6-8 hours. This hands-off time is perfect for getting other stuff done!
- Once cooked, whisk together 3 tablespoons of cornstarch and 3 tablespoons of cold water in a small bowl.
- Pour the cornstarch mixture into the slow cooker, stirring gently to incorporate. If needed, temporarily remove the steaks to mix seamlessly, and return them afterward.
- Turn the crockpot to high and cook for another 30 minutes until the gravy thickens.
- Serve the cubed steaks smothered in gravy over mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles for ultimate comfort food.
