- In a mixing bowl, whisk together chicken broth, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and minced garlic until well combined.
- Grease your slow cooker lightly, then pour half of the sauce mixture into the bottom.
- Add the chicken breasts to the crockpot and pour the remaining sauce over the top.
- Cover and cook on low heat for 4 hours.
- After 4 hours, whisk together cornstarch and water, then stir this mixture into the crockpot to thicken the sauce.
- Add the broccoli florets and stir gently to combine.
- Switch the slow cooker to high and cook for 1 more hour, covered.
- Remove the chicken from the slow cooker, cut it into large chunks, and return it to the pot.
- Serve immediately over cooked rice!
