Ingredients

  • 32 oz. Velveeta cheese (can use 2% or even white)
  • 16 oz. sour cream
  • 14 oz. petite diced tomatoes (do not drain)
  • 12 oz. center cut beef bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 lb. ground beef, cooked and drained
  • 1/4 tsp. salt, to taste
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup red onion, diced
  • 2 tsp. Montreal Steak Seasoning (or your favorite steak or burger seasoning)
  • Chips for serving (tortilla or potato chips work great)

Method

  1. Prep your slow cooker by lightly greasing the inner pot or adding a liner for easy cleanup.
  2. Add all ingredients—Velveeta, sour cream, tomatoes, crumbled bacon, cooked ground beef, seasonings, and red onion—directly into the slow cooker.
  3. Stir everything together until evenly mixed.
  4. Set your slow cooker to 'HIGH' and cook for 2 hours. Stir occasionally, about every 30 minutes, to ensure even melting.
  5. Once the cheese is fully melted and creamy, switch your slow cooker to 'WARM' to keep it at the perfect serving temperature. Serve with your favorite chips and enjoy!
