Press your tofu: Place the tofu block between paper towels or in a tofu press for 30 minutes to remove excess water. Cut into 1-inch cubes or tear into irregular pieces for a crispier texture.
Season the tofu: In a medium bowl, toss the tofu cubes with soy sauce or liquid aminos until evenly coated.
Add the spices: Sprinkle in garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, sea salt, cornstarch, sesame oil, and black pepper. Toss until every piece is covered.
Preheat and cook: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F. Add the tofu in a single layer (don’t crowd the basket), and cook for 10-15 minutes, shaking the basket after 5 minutes to ensure even cooking.
Cool and serve: Remove the tofu from the air fryer and let it cool slightly. Serve it as a snack, salad topper, or protein for your favorite veggie bowl.
