Method
- Trim the ends off the Brussels sprouts and remove any browned outer leaves. Halve them lengthwise. For large sprouts, quarter them to ensure even cooking.
- (Optional step for tender centers) Soak the halved sprouts in warm water for 10 minutes, then drain and pat dry.
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F. For most models, this takes about 3 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, toss the sprouts with olive oil, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
- Add the seasoned sprouts to the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Cook for 5 minutes, then shake the basket to ensure even crisping.
- Cook for another 5 minutes, then add the garlic. Shake the basket again to distribute the garlic.
- Cook for an additional 2-4 minutes, checking frequently, until the sprouts are golden and crisp.
- Transfer to a serving bowl and finish with balsamic glaze, pomegranate molasses, maple syrup, and Parmesan cheese, if desired. Serve immediately.
Notes
Don’t overcrowd the basket—work in batches if needed for ultra-crispy results. Use fresh Brussels sprouts for the best flavor and texture.
