Ingredients

  • 2 lb. green peanuts, rinsed
  • 10 cups water
  • 1/2 cup kosher salt
  • 2 Tbsp. Cajun seasoning

Method

  1. Rinse the green peanuts under cold water to remove any dirt or debris.
  2. Place the peanuts in the bowl of your slow cooker.
  3. Add the water, kosher salt, and Cajun seasoning. Stir to combine.
  4. Cover the slow cooker with the lid. Set it to high for 12 hours, or low for 24 hours.
  5. Once the cooking time is completed, check the peanuts for doneness. They should be soft but not mushy.
  6. Drain and serve warm, or store in an airtight container for up to a week.

Notes

If you prefer less salty peanuts, reduce the kosher salt to 1/3 cup.
