Ingredients

  • 1 (8-ounce) boneless beef sirloin steak Cut into 1-inch cubes. Sirloin is tender and perfect for bites.
  • 1 cup fresh mushrooms Chopped into bite-sized pieces. Feel free to use your favorite variety!
  • ½ medium onion Cut into 1-inch pieces for a nice caramelized flavor alongside the steak.
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce Adds a deep, savory flavor to the steak and veggies.
  • ½ teaspoon salt Adjust to taste, depending on your preference.
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper Just enough to highlight the other flavors.
  • 3 tablespoons garlic butter Melted. You can use store-bought or make your own with softened butter and minced garlic mixed together.
  • 1 sprig fresh parsley Optional, for garnish and a pop of color.

Equipment

  • Air fryer

Method

  1. Preheat your air fryer: Set it to 400°F (200°C), if your air fryer model recommends preheating.
  2. Prep the ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the steak cubes, mushrooms, and onions. Season everything with Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Stir until evenly coated.
  3. Brush with butter: Lightly coat the air fryer basket with a small amount of melted garlic butter. Pour the rest of the butter over the steak and veggie mixture and toss until everything is well coated.
  4. Arrange in a single layer: Add the steak bites and vegetables to the air fryer basket. Make sure to spread them out for even cooking—don’t overcrowd the basket!
  5. Cook the steak bites: Air fry for about 7 minutes for a medium-rare doneness. Check the internal temperature using an instant-read thermometer: 130–140°F for medium-rare, 140–150°F for medium. If you prefer your steak more done, add 1–2 minutes of additional cooking time and check again.
  6. Serve and garnish: Once cooked, garnish with fresh parsley, if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy the buttery, savory flavors!

Notes

Preheating the air fryer ensures even cooking and a perfect seared crust. Cut all ingredients to similar-sized pieces for even results. Adjust cooking times slightly depending on your air fryer model. Customize this dish with your favorite veggies, such as zucchini, bell peppers, or asparagus!
