- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes while you prep.
- Line the air fryer basket with a perforated parchment round to prevent sticking.
- In a shallow dish, whisk the egg with a pinch of salt until it’s frothy and lemon-colored.
- In another shallow bowl, combine the panko breadcrumbs and ranch seasoning.
- Dip each frozen cod fillet into the egg mixture, ensuring it’s fully coated, then press it into the breadcrumb mixture to adhere a thick, even layer.
- Place the breaded fillets into the air fryer basket in a single layer. Spray the tops generously with nonstick cooking spray.
- Cook for 8 minutes, then carefully flip the fillets, spray again, and air-fry for another 7 minutes, or until the cod flakes easily with a fork and the crust is golden.

Pro tip: If you’re out of ranch seasoning, swap in garlic powder, paprika, or even Old Bay for a fun twist!
