Ingredients

  • 2 lbs asparagus Fresh, thick spears work best for an even texture. Feel free to use pre-washed asparagus to save even more time!
  • 1 tbsp garlic parsley salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tbsp oil One tablespoon is all you need to coat the spears lightly for that golden, crispy finish.
  • 1/3 cup Parmesan cheese Freshly grated Parmesan melts beautifully and adds a nutty, savory touch. Pre-shredded Parmesan works in a pinch, too.

Equipment

  • Air fryer
  • Kitchen shears or a sharp knife
  • tongs

Method

  1. Rinse the asparagus and cut off the woody ends. Pat the spears dry with a clean kitchen towel.
  2. Place the asparagus in a large mixing bowl. Drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle on garlic parsley salt, and toss to coat. Add the grated Parmesan and toss again.
  3. Arrange the asparagus in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Set the air fryer to 400°F and cook for 7 minutes.
  4. The asparagus should be tender but still have a bit of bite. If you'd like it crispier, add 1-2 more minutes of cooking time.
  5. Remove from the air fryer and sprinkle with additional Parmesan if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

Pro Tip: Preheat your air fryer for maximum crispiness. Most models reach 400°F in about 3 minutes—just the right amount of time to prep your asparagus!
